It’s that time of year again and the SLOBs Executive Board is looking for members to fill positions for the 2021-22 school year. If you are an engaged, active and committed SLOBs member, we need you. Please submit your name as well as your parent’s to email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible (but by Feb 28 at the latest) to be considered for a position. Please understand that being on the board requires the participation of both the SLOB and the parent.
JANUARY DONATION DRIVE – PERSON-TO-PERSON
Person-to-Person is a non-profit organization that provides individuals and families with food, clothing, emergency financial assistance, caseworker support as well as a program for mentorships and scholarships for residents in lower Fairfield county. Food insecurity rates have more than doubled in CT due to the pandemic and Person-to-Person has been providing critical food assistance during these challenging times.
They are in need of diapers, sizes 3, 4, 5 and 6, as well as the following non-perishable food items: cereal, oatmeal, macaroni and cheese, canned tuna/chicken and jelly.
Please drop off your donated items anytime between now and Sunday, January 24 to 6 Peach Lot Place. Items can be placed in the bin at the front door. Include your SLOBs name on your donation or write it on the sign-up sheet located next to the donation bin. Any questions, please contact Penny, Alex or Nicholas Miller at email@example.com.
1 hour of credit will go to the SLOBs member. Thank you as always to our generous SLOBs families!
